Flurry : Flurry is one of the beskt known and  popular mobile email applications. Supports java enabled devices and claims that it has users in 200+ countries. Offers a free solution.
Emoze : Backed by Comverse the telecoms software giant, eMoze is avilable for smart phones ( Microsoft Mobile or Symbian devices) . Gets you off the ground quickly.Used to require set up of a desktop agent software, now offers a solution without the PC based agent. Also offers support for address book and calendar access .

Movamail : Movamail supports a wide range of java enabled devices and additionally offers a browser ( XHTML ) based client software. Like flurry they claim users in over 200 countries. Offers some nifty features like camera phone support and compression .
Morange : Singapore based Morange provides a Java based solution which requires a desktop agent. Offers a plethora of features other than push email. On free accounts the email size is restricted to below 2K .
Tricast Mail : The product blurb says "Tricast Mail™ is a feature-rich, intuitive and “powerfully-easy” mobile messaging solution for any J2ME phones, anytime, anywhere. It supports a rich set of mail protocols and webmail systems (POP3, IMAP, Yahoo!, Google Mail, Hotmail), sports a unique and intuitive user interface in a compact size with unsurpassed performance and usability." .
